This year, we endeavored to broaden our training scope by teaching
through web conferencing, or "webinars." (Wondering what a webinar is?
Click here <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_conferencing> .) One of the
first webinars we offered was the exceptionally popular "Managing Your
E-mail," which filled up in a matter of hours, leading us to offer two
additional sessions. Since then, we have conducted webinars on such
topics as imaging, State Records Center procedures, and records
inventory and appraisal. Webinar attendees have appreciated the
convenience of this training format, often citing an inability to attend
in-person training in Austin due to budget or time constraints.
Thanks to our participants' completion of post-webinar surveys, we had a
wealth of ideas for future topics when planning the remainder of our
FY2011 training calendar. We will continue to offer these 1-hour
webinars free of charge for both state and local government.
Registration is now open for our 2011 sessions. Reserve your spot today
