We still have still spaces available for our Records Management Training
Classes to be held next Tuesday, June 22.
Location -
Both classes will be held at the State and Local Records Management
Division of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, 4400 Shoal
Creek Blvd, in Austin.
Classes offered -
Managing Electronic Records - 8:30 - 11:30 AM, $15
Understand legal obligations and best practices regarding electronic
records (e-records) management, the regulatory environment, legal
considerations, and current issues central to managing e-records.
Disaster Planning - 1:00 - 4:00 PM, $15
Learn about your legal obligations, what vital/essential records are,
how to assess and analyze risks to your records and how to protect them,
what essential functions are and how they relate to your vital records,
how state agencies and local governments can fulfill their requirements
for COOP planning and vital records protection by creating and
maintaining a vital records program and how to recover your records in
the event of a crisis or disaster.
