***REMINDER: Library Marketing teleconference this Friday, February 18th -- various sites in Texas***
A discussion on techniques being used by innovative librarians to promote their libraries and services. Listen to the success stories of fellow librarians as they share their personal experiences in finding interesting and effective ways to mass-communicate and promote the value of their libraries.
Panelists: Buff Hirko, Statewide Virtual Reference Project Coordinator at Washington State Library; Howard McGinn, Dean of Libraries at Seton Hall University; Linda Wallace, Library Communication Strategies, Inc., formerly head of ALA's public Information office. 
This teleconference is FREE for all library staff/volunteers/affiliates courtesy of the Texas State Library, with viewing locations made possible around the state by generous participating host sites in Texas. There are NO pre-requisites of any kind for these workshops -- no special technical skills are needed.  These teleconferences are a great way to learn new skills (or refresh old ones), network with peers and earn CE credit. More details follow below.

If you would like to attend this teleconference, please visit the TSLAC Webpage for this teleconference (the URL is listed in the next paragraph), view the list of participating host sites, decide which host site is nearest you, notify the site coordinator at that host site of your plans to attend NO LATER than 24 hours prior to the event and then sign-in at the host site on the day of the event.
